Rogue Traders & Doorstep Callers

Rogue Traders & Doorstep Callers

We have recently received reports of rogue traders and unexpected doorstep callers in and around Wardleworth, Deeplish, Milkstone and Central Rochdale.

These individuals may offer roofing, gardening, paving or repair work, pest control, often claiming urgent work is needed and pressuring residents into making quick decisions.

Please be vigilant. Never feel pressured to agree to work on the spot, always ask for identification, obtain independent quotes, and never hand over cash to someone you do not know.

We encourage residents to look out for elderly and vulnerable neighbours and report any suspicious activity to the police. If something doesn't feel right, trust your instincts and report it.

If in doubt, keep them out. Together we can help protect our community.
